Western Style Sheepskin Bareback Pad

Western Style Sheepskin Bareback Pad made by Christ Lammfelle of Germany. This is the most over-engineered collection of bareback pads in the world. Comfy sheepskin on top for you and plush sheepskin on the bottom for your horse. These pads fit most horses from 15 hands to 17 hands and most riders. Easy to wash using a wool-safe detergent. This is a SPECIAL ORDER pad that will take 2  months to build and a couple weeks to ship to you. Please note… this is a CUSTOM order and will take at least 2 months to arrive.

The Christ Lammfelle Line of Sheepskin Bareback Pads

  1. English / All Purpose fleece bareback pad (also known as the Christ Bareback Pad Basic Plus)
  2. Dressage style bareback pad (also known as the Christ Premium Bareback Pad Plus)
  3. Spanish style bareback pad – Iberica style Spanish bareback pad derived from the Spanish style ranching saddle
  4. Western-style bareback pad – even has a horn!

Features found on all four styles of bareback pads:

  • Fit most horses and riders
  • Includes built-in stirrup bars (large, closed D-rings)
  • Long girth billets (you will need a short girth) – matching  fleece girth available – except the Western style, that model doesn’t have long billets
  • Includes grab strap (most models)
  • Built-in D rings for breastplate and crupper
  • Removable shims to help with fit and rider comfort

Western Style Bareback Pad

Also known as the Diamond Plus bareback pad by Christ Lammfelle, this treeless saddle feature a fork and cantle made of specially shaped foam cores. The sheepskin seat has the capability for detachment and must wash separately. Removable padding (shims) on the left and right of the spinal canal increase comfort for rider and protects the horse’s back. Stirrups leathers (English or Western) attach to d-rings under the lambskin seat.

Caring for your Christ Lammfelle Bareback Pad

Care is pretty simple. You can toss the entire bareback pad in the washer on the wool cycle. Be sure to remove the shims first and always use a wool safe detergent.

These fleece bareback pads are built in Germany by Christ Lammfelle. A few are held here in the US for distribution throughout the states but not all models in all colors are available in the US for immediate shipping. Shipping will take a minimum of 1 week for those pads stocked in the US and between 5 and 8 weeks if we are between shipments from Germany. Orders between Dec. 30 through January can experience an additional 1-2 week shipping time due to factory delays.

If you pay for express shipment, we will notify you within 24 hours if we can fulfill your order at the speed you need. If we can’t, we will refund your express shipping cost & ship via our free shipping method.

Shetty: Shetty is the smallest size available. Designed with the smallest of horses in mind (ex: Shetland ponies).
Pony: Pony is ideal for smaller breeds (ex: Arabians and large ponies) and smaller riders.
Warmblood: Warmblood is the largest size. It is perfect for the larger breeds such as Thoroughbreds, Quarter horses, and warmbloods.
