Red Barn Monkey Grip Reins

Red Barn monkey grip reins combine rubber and webbing with optional hand grips for an all weather rein with secure grip and soft feet. At 5/8 inch wide, these are the perfect width for most hands. Choose from buckle ends or traditional hook studs from the menu of options.

Hand Stops

Optional hand stops are super useful for keeping your reins even or preventing slip. Leather hand stops are placed every 5 inches.

Multiple Lengths

We only carry these rubber reins in the standard “full size” 54 inch length. Long reins can form a dangerous situation for horse and rider. For long reins that you need to shorten up quickly, try tying a knot in the end to take up the extra material. It’s easy to tie a knot in these reins due to the materials being so flexible. For small children or those with very small hands, unbuckle the reins and tie each end into a knot to avoid a large knot, then re-buckle the reins together.
