Perfect show coat for hot weather, the Wiona features a vented back that allows plenty of airflow without sacrificing a traditional look. Front of the jacket is equipped with three buttons and side pockets. Back of jacket has 2 slits to accommodate the saddle.

Fitting the Wiona Show Jacket

The Wiona show jacket’s sweet spot seems to be the 5′ – 5’6″ female rider. Body size is flexible, fitting most of the riders we have tried the jacket on. The jacket is described as a “European fit” meaning that it runs a bit short. Actual measurements will appear below the sizing tab when you select a size from the drop down menu. Inexpensive Vs. Expensive Show Jackets

There are many details that separate an expensive and a more economical show jacket. For the Wiona soft shell show jacket, you won’t find any piping – that’s one of the more prominent / obvious features on an expensive show coat. Another difference is the stitching. For instance, the Wiona uses three, riveted buttons down the front. These are not sewn into the fabric, they’re punched in using a tool. Using rivets makes it harder to change the location of the buttons (for custom alterations) but makes it less expensive to manufacture. To help with fitting (and fixing), an additional button + backing is provided.
