Shipping Wraps Vs. Horse Travel Boots

The traditional way to protect your horse’s legs while transporting is to use a set of oversized no bow wraps or pillow wraps + a standing bandage. Collectively known as a shipping wrap, this combination of cotton and foam is quite useful if you know how to put them on. Consequently, the downside is the time involved to put on and take off. Shipping bandages are also not quite as easy to clean up. As for protection, shipping wraps and shipping boots provide nearly the same amount of protection. Some would argue that the shipping bandages provide more support, while the shipping boots provide more impact protection and overall coverage.
