Replacing Optimum Time Watch Battery

Your Optimum time eventing watch is equipped with a low battery indicator at the top left hand side of the display. It’s time to change your Optimum time watch battery when this indicator light is on.

5 Steps to Install new Battery

Remove your watch from the bezel / outer clip
Using a small screwdriver, remove all 6 screws to remove the backing
Extract old battery & replace with new one. Be sure the positive contact faces UP. Bonus tip… don’t drain the battery by touching both the + and negative sides at the same time.
Making sure the O ring seal is in the correct position, replace the case
Carefully tighten 4 case cover screws

Installing New Elastic Strap

Like most everything, there is a correct and and an incorrect way to install the Optimum Time elastic strap.

Place Optimum time watch on your wrist and pass the elastic through the clasps from the bottom to the top.
Pull the elastic to your preferred tightness. Secure it by pressing the clasp firmly closed.
Push elastic loop over the spare length to keep the loose end squared away.
