Mattes EuroFit Saddle Pad

Mattes EuroFit saddle pad with sheepskin panels and bare flaps is fully customizable. The bare flap design minimizes material under the rider’s leg (closer contact between your leg and your horse). Top quality sheepskin panels offers your horse’s back Merino sheepskin protection directly under the panels of the saddle. The unlined flaps are quilted with a Poly-Flex layer that doesn’t add bulk but does add energy absorption properties and reduces bounce / flapping. Like all Mattes saddle pads, the colors of the pad are customizable to fit your eventing or barn colors.

The Difference Between the All Purpose and Jump Pad

The Mattes Eurofit Saddle Pad comes in three different cuts: All purpose, jumper and dressage. The EuroFit dressage pad is easily identifiable but the all purpose and jumper cut can look similar. The main difference is the length of the flap. The Mattes EuroFit all purpose pad has a longer flap than the Mattes Eurofit jumper pad. Custom Orders / Current Stock

We stock Mattes EuroFit saddle pads (all three cuts) in black quilt with black binding and white quilt with white binding. Medium and Large are stocked while small and XL are available but will take about 8 weeks. Only pads with front trim stay in stock, all pads with rear trim take about 8 weeks for delivery. You can custom order any quilt color with any binding and add up to three pipes. Custom Mattes EuroFit saddle pad orders take 6-10 weeks. This is for building + delivery time. Shipping within the US is complimentary on all Mattes sheepskin pads even if it’s a custom order.

To order a custom Mattes pad, select “custom” from the drop-down menus and select the number of pipes (if you want any). You can always shoot us an email with any questions you have! Once ordered, we will manually, double check your order before sending it to the factory.

What’s with the Rear Trim on the Mattes Eurofit saddle pad?

It’s for looks. Rear trim is a customization that costs $15 more. It can be added on to any pad – All purpose, dressage or jumper. All Mattes EuroFit saddle pads with rear trim are available but will take an additional 8 weeks to deliver.

What’s with the Sheepskin Panels?

This is actually useful and it’s not for looks! Sheepskin panels sit directly on your horse’s back, under the saddle’s panels. They offer a moisture wicking, impact dampening layer of protection that can eliminate the need for a half pad. All three Mattes eurofit saddle pad types come with or without sheepskin panels. Contact us if you would like to order one of these less expensive, no panel pads. Typically, people order the pads without panels if they plan on using a half pad to help with saddle fit.
