Back on Track Turnout Sheet
Back on Track Turnout Sheet is equivalent to a 200 weight winter blanket for horses. This is a rough rating though due to the use of Back on Track’s Welltex fabric, a ceramic infused polypropylene blend that insulates beyond typical blanket fill. The waterproof outer shell is made of 1680 denier, a popular material for turnout blankets (dubbed “ballistic nylon” for its use in WW2 pilot flack jackets). The denier makes the Back on Track turnout sheet extremely durable as a turnout blanket for horses – keeping them dry and warm. Securing the blanket to the horse are a tail flap, adjustable cross belly surcingles, and elastic leg ties. Tail flap adds additional warmth + waterproofing, sending water away from the horse’s body. Walking split design allows greater freedom of motion for the shoulder than many other turnout blankets.

Washing Instructions
The Back on Track Turnout sheet is machine washable up to 86 degrees (30 degrees Celsius). Use regular detergent (nothing special required) as long as it doesn’t contain bleach or fabric softeners – don’t use those separately, either. Also, do not dry in a dryer, air dry only.
Sizing Guarantee
Overall, the sizing of the Back on Track turnout blanket follows the standard sizing for blankets – if your horse wears a 78″, they will likely wear a 78″ BOT turnout. If you receive your blanket and it’s not perfect, Four Star Eventing Gear does complementary size exchanges. I have a few of these blankets for my guys and they all seem to love them. I have one horse who is just naturally a bit tight and I can tell a difference in his way of going after he’s been wearing this sheet. In addition to actually working, the quality is super; even after a few seasons they look brand new. My only minor complaint would be that the fit through the shoulders can be a bit odd if your horse is particularly broad.
