Vet Wrap for horses made by 3M is an elastic bandage that has excellent holding power to provide support and prevent bandages from slipping. Every 3-day rider needs a roll or two of Vet Wrap in their horse first aid kit. The biggest benefit to vet wrap over other bandages is its layers bond together without sticking to skin or hair – this makes it great for use on humans as well – keep a couple rolls of Vetwrap in your personal first aid kit as well, it’s useful.

What is Vet Wrap

Vet Wrap is a generic name for a wide variety of products that all have a similar design and function. 3M VetRap bandaging tape is the name of a product made by 3M, a multinational corporation that owns other brands like Ace Bandage and invented the Post-It note… by accident. Vetrap is a flexible bandage that is self-adherent meaning that it binds to itself without the use of clips or fasteners. Its stretchy, elastic property is durable and provides solid support and enough pressure to inhibit bleeding. Unlike other elastic bandages, 3M Vetrap provides enough flexibility that when properly used with padding (wound dressing) it won’t cut off circulation.
